So I'm not feeling the greatest today. Both kids have been sick since late last week, fevers, coughs, runny noses, throwing up on us, you know the deal...
Anyways, the kids are sitting at the table eating a grape popsicle and I am putting the books back on the bookshelf. My daughter just asked me if I loved her. I said, oh I love you so much! And she said Mom - I love you so much I want to marry you and decorate you with presents! And..give you a new TV, a purple one! Oh, and a purple puppy too - because that's how much I love you!
Comments like that make you realize how much children mean to us. We need to value every second we have with them. If you are a parent, know that "Your children are not an asset to you, you are an asset to your children." Make every moment count, be there for them no matter what - in situations big or small. If you see them struggling with tying a shoe - help them. If they are having a hard time in school, be their tutor. If they need anything at all, let them know you are there for them no matter what.
